The Guardian, one of Great Britain’s best known dailies, carried a report in its 19 September, 2008, issue describing how because Richard Dawkins’ web site had carried illegal, defamatory material, access to it from Turkey had been banned. The report once again also drew readers’ attention to Adnan Oktar's Atlas of Creation:

“Oktar, a household name in Turkey, has used hundreds of books, pamphlets and DVDs to contest Darwin's theory of evolution. In 2006 his publishers sent out ... copies of the Atlas of Creation, a lavish book rejecting evolution on every one of its 800 pages.”
